Here are some guidelines when you are submitting a design file to us. Should you encounter a specific issue not addressed in this guide or have additional questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. It’s crucial to ensure that your files are properly prepared, as improperly formatted files can lead to manufacturing delays.
Bleed & Crop Marks
In printing terminology, the bleed is the extra margin on a print product that is meant to be trimmed off when the product is trimmed to its final size. Bleed basically means that the color and graphics on a product “bleed off the page” to ensure continuity of the color to the edge of your product.
File Color Mode
We require that you provide us with print-ready digital files in CMYK or RGB color mode depending on the product type. Provide all black and white artwork in grayscale color mode. We do not accept any other color mode.
Color Variations
Considering the nature of our full-color printing (CMYK), it’s important to note that we may not reproduce every available color. While we don’t engage in color matching, we adhere to the print industry’s standard for respectable color. We will make reasonable efforts to ensure that your product is printed as closely as possible to the colors you’ve specified.
Resolution
Resolution is also known as dpi (dots per inch) or ppi (pixels per inch). It indicates the number of colored dots or pixels that make up one image. The higher the dots per inch/pixels per inch, the greater the resolution and the clearer the resulting final print will be. Make sure all elements are set to 300 to 350 dpi (unless otherwise stated). Images taken from the web tend to be low-resolution, which can result in blurry or pixelated prints.
Text
Ensure that your text is easily readable, and please be aware that we do not take responsibility for any spelling errors, including names, dates, times, and places, and so forth. Files errors submitted are not the responsibility of CYPT Memorials.
Photo & Artwork Guidelines
While our prepress department thoroughly reviews all submitted artwork files before printing, it is crucial to note that you bear 100% responsibility for the accuracy of your print-ready artwork files.
We strongly advise careful proofreading before submitting to CYPT Memorials.
Please be aware that we do not assume responsibility for any issues related to the orientation or alignment of the pages in your submitted artwork.
